Water Update
With councils busy over the last few months dealing with all that Mother Nature has to offer, initiatives like the Regional Drinking Water Quality Management Plan Audits go some way to lightening the load. This collective procurement arrangement involved appointing one contractor to undertake all the required DWQMP audits for 24/25 involving most FNQROC member councils. The benefit of this collective procurement arrangement is not just the economies of scale and efficiency savings but also the opportunity for the contractor to identify key themes, which they shared with the Water Regulator at a recent Regional Workshop.
