Regional Collection and Disposal of Ferrous, Non-Ferrous Metals and ULAB’s
Last year, I had the opportunity to visit several of our member Councils. These visits aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the Councils' ferrous and non-ferrous metal collection and recycling practices and explore the operational aspects in detail.
With the current contract with SIMS Metal set to expire in November 2025, FNQROC is keen to explore opportunities for collaboration with additional suppliers in the region to ensure the continuous improvement of ferrous and non-ferrous metal collection while supporting small and medium-sized councils across the FNQ region.
Regional Bitumen Reseal and Sewer Reline Programs 2025/2026
Work is well and truly underway in preparing programs and procurement documents for the 2025/2026 Regional Bitumen Reseal Arrangement and the 2025/2026 Regional Sewer Relining & Manhole Condition Assessments.
