Local Buy Summit - Cairns
As FNQROC Regional Procurement Coordinator, I recently had the pleasure of attending a Procurement Summit on 20 March 2025, hosted by Local Buy and Cairns Regional Council. A big thank you to everyone from Cairns Regional Council who assisted with hosting the event.
I would also like to shoutout to the representatives from the Cairns Regional Council, Cassowary Coast Council, Cook Shire Council, Croydon Shire Council, Douglas Shire Council, Hinchinbrook Shire Council, Mareeba Shire Council, Tablelands Regional Council who made their way to Cairns to participate. It was great to have such a strong showing of Procurement Officers from our region.
Working together, thinking strategically, and having meaningful discussion across the room is one way the region can collaborate effectively and add value to our respective communities.
