Sustainability – think globally, act locally!

Our Sustainability Group meetings are attended by people with a passion for the environment.

Some of the issues we tackle are of global concern, but that doesn't stop our team dealing with very local challenges, sometimes at the same time!

Paula Ingerson, Environmental Health Officer from Hinchinbrook Shire Council, was doing just that at our Regional Sustainability Group meeting on 27 February 2013.  

After discussing international trends in energy efficient streetlighting, Paula had to feed her orphaned joey (agile wallaby), much to the delight of all.  

Paula not only has a day job with environmental health, but she devotes a lot of her spare time caring for rescued wildlife.  

Well done Paula!
