The Department of Environment and Heritage Protection's Threatened Species Unit is investigating how they can assist by collating existing cassowary mapping, and making it available to Local Government planners. The Threatened Species Unit would like feedback from Local Government Planners and planning scheme drafters on the following to assist with their investigation:
• What format would be most useful? GIS data / hard copy maps / other?
• If GIS, what file types / formats?
• For which planning areas?
• Any other requirements?
