Natural Asset Management - April 2014

The plan belongs to the entire Wet Tropics community. Terrain is simply the custodian of the plan, supporting the community by taking ownership of the planning process and promoting the partnerships necessary for its implementation. Partnership with Local Government is imperative for NRM planning to be effective, so we would like to make you aware of upcoming aspects of the NRM planning process.

Terrain’s Community Partnerships staff members are holding discussions with local communities across the region and these will continue for the next six months.

We also will meet specifically with Local Government in July/August to go through the results of the local community engagement and discuss how the NRM Plan might best serve the needs of Local Government.
