Croydon Shire is located just east of the base of the Gulf of Carpentaria in FNQ.  The Shire is approx. 2,200 km by road from the State capital, Brisbane.  Encompassing an area of 29,538 square kilometres, Croydon Shire is approx. half the size of Tasmania and offers a unique and beautiful outback experience.  Croydon Shire forms part of the Gulf Region.
