Pest Management Mapping Knowing the location of weeds and pest animals on a regional scale is integral to effective pest management. The maps are particularly valuable for displaying pest information and should be utilised when planning pest management. For example, all weed prevention activities start with the knowledge to identify the current priority weed species and their distribution (refer FNQROC Local Government Disaster Management Weed Spread Prevention Code of Practice ). The mapping information provides, at a minimum, relevant data regarding weed classifications and infestation locations. Regional Weed and Pest Animal Distribution Maps () Please note that the regional weed and pest animal distribution maps may not display the entire extent of infestations due to missing data. However collection of data is ongoing and the maps will be updated at regular intervals. Locality Map to be used in conjunction with distribution maps Pest Animal Distribuion Maps
