Queensland Pest Animal Symposium was held in Cairns 19th - 22nd October 2008 "Pests on the move - pest animals in paradise" Considerable time, effort and financial resources have been invested in addressing pest issues across a landscape that emcompasses the artifical boundaries of local government areas, catchment groups and other land use agencies and industry. | 16th Australian Weeds Conference - 18 - 22 May 2008 Cairns Convention Centre - On the 14th September 2007 the FNQROC Board endorsed joint gold sponsorship between FNQROC and Terrain NRM for the 16th Australian Weeds Conference. Sponsorship of this conference provided an opportunity for the region to showcase the work that has been undertaken both individually and collectively.
